🌿 A Note from Linzi | Remembering Yourself
Hey Sis, 🤍
I've been noticing something lately.
Not just in conversations after yoga or during Reiki sessions, but in my own life too.
As women, we're incredibly good at caring for everyone around us. We know who needs encouragement. We remember birthdays and appointments. We make sure everyone has what they need before we ever stop to ask ourselves the same question.
Somewhere along the way, caring for ourselves quietly slips to the bottom of the list.
Not because we don't value it... but because there's always something that feels more urgent.
I caught myself doing exactly that this week.
I was standing in my kitchen, looking at my planner, mentally running through everything that needed to get done before the day was over. Work. Family. PLY. Laundry. Dinner. A dozen little things that all felt important.
Then I realized something.
I had planned my entire day around taking care of everyone else... and I hadn't planned a single moment to simply be with myself.
It made me pause.
How often do we move through our days on autopilot, checking every box, meeting every expectation, only to crawl into bed wondering why we feel so disconnected?
I don't think it's because we're doing life wrong.
I think it's because we've forgotten that we're worthy of the same care we so freely give everyone else.
That's been the lesson August keeps whispering to me.
Bloom Where You're Becoming isn't about arriving somewhere new. It isn't about becoming a different version of yourself or adding one more thing to your already full plate.
It's about remembering yourself in the middle of your life.
Remembering what brings you peace.
Remembering what makes you laugh.
Remembering what helps you feel grounded.
Remembering that your needs matter, too.
I've learned that when I make time to sit on the deck with a cup of tea, wander through my herb garden, step onto my yoga mat, or simply take a deep breath before rushing to the next thing, I show up differently for the people I love.
Not because I've become someone new.
Because I've come back to myself.
Maybe that's your invitation this week.
Before you ask what everyone else needs from you, take a quiet moment and ask yourself...
What do I need today?
Not tomorrow.
Not when life slows down.
Today.
Your answer doesn't have to be profound.
Maybe it's twenty minutes outside.
Maybe it's saying no without feeling guilty.
Maybe it's finally booking the Reiki session you've been thinking about.
Maybe it's rolling out your yoga mat and giving yourself permission to simply breathe.
Whatever your heart whispers...
I hope you'll listen.
Because I truly believe the world doesn't need a more exhausted version of you.
It needs the version of you that feels whole, connected, and alive.
☕ This Week's Gentle Reminder
You deserve the same love, care, and compassion that you so freely give to everyone else.
📖 Journal Prompt
When was the last time I chose myself without guilt? What would it look like to do that this week?
